Poetry: What happened to her Sunrise Smile

“What happened to her Sunrise Smile”– J.Adam Snyder

I wish I could make you mine
I burn to get lost in your sublime
It saddens me that you can’t see
How you are so pristine

I yearn to see you smile
Imagining you walking down that aisle
Yet across the pond you now weep
While in my land I will soon sleep

Your heart bleeds when I call you miss
You’ve never been treated with such bliss
A shame because you deserve only the best
I dream of having you rest on my chest

The world cries to see you glow
Yet you can’t see how your beauty is so bold
Cut down the lies and let me us see your smile
The world needs to feel your sunrise
